Jun 21, 2012 · The e906 capsule is a true reissue of the U3 capsule which Sennheiser decided it sounded the best (or was the most sought after). The e609 Silver capsule is a totally new design which I think looks pretty similar to a cheap chinese design (and sound like so too). I have no idea where the e609 Black comes into the picture. Step 2 is which mic and how to use it. I've narrowed the "which" question to two, the Shure SM57 and the Sennheiser e609 Silver. My preference is to hang the mic over the top of the amp in front of the speaker.
